F30 Base Seat Swap to Sport Seats
I have a 14 335i with base seats (heat & lumbar support) and I really wish I had sport seats with the bolster supports. Did a quick search and saw some threads on swapping seats to M series seats but I'm just looking to swap to the sport seats.
If I were able to source the same color seat with heat and lumbar support but also had bolsters from an F30, how easy of a swap could this be? Has anyone done this? Any errors that needed to be coded out? |

Sweet! I have the same question. I found threads indicating coding challenges when going from non-heated seats but is there any issue swapping a sport seat into a car hat came with heated lumbar support seats?
The only thing I hate about my car is the seat. It's adequate but I would LOVE the extra bolster and thigh support. I understand the power lumbar plug will likely be abscent. Is this something I could tap into the fuse box for? More importantly, will the seat trigger a code conflict? Thanks in advance for your wisdom and experience e |

I went from electric seats with no lumbar support or heating to seats with lumbar support + heating. Wiring was already present and it only needed coding and a new climate control panel with the heated seats buttons.

I've been interested in doing this myself. From what I read, you can swap the "guts" of the original seat to the new one so no addition coding or hardware is needed? I think everything can be swapped but the airbags but have not been able to validate this anywhere to confirm?
