Aftermarket Remote Start ADVICE
Has anyone used an aftermarket remote start? There are quite a few options, but i don't know if any of them are actually safe to use, and easy to setup. Feedback appreciated, as I'm looking into getting one installed.

I've installed one on an F150 about 10 years ago. My advice would be not to get one a a bmw. They are pretty much going to hack up a lot of important wiring related to the locking and security features of the car and it could go very, very wrong. I wouldn't install another after market one.
If there was a factory part or factory option, that could be installed safely.

look it up on the12volt.com forum.
They will know. but I am sure it is possible, but it has to be done by someone who knows CANBus programming on remote starter devices and compatibility on BMWs. Here is a contact, pretty sure he will know the answer.....lives in a COLD Place. In the world of Car Audio and Security, there is something known as "Remote Starter Season"..... Imagine that.
