45% tint all around

So I had my windows tinted and I wanted to go lighter than I usually do, so that I could keep the tint uniform from front to back. I chose 45% thinking it would be light enough to look sleek but not illegal. It came out darker than i expected but I think I like it. Also, when the moon roof is open it does look much lighter than pictured.

You're also parked in the shade in that pic from what it looks like. Once you have sun coming through your windshield as well as from your moonroof as you mentioned it'll look a lot lighter from the outside. Looks clean!

it looks darker than 45 , but it also depends on the tint manufacturer as not all brands 45 are the same. Also you are park in the shade . Also interior of the car plays a big part , in your case darker interior helps to make it look darker

Looks nice overall

While it looks nice, the fronts are way too dark to pass as legal from what I remember. I think a 70% VLT is the darkest you can go and pass visual inspection. Plus dark tint on the fronts makes it harder for other drivers to see you and your intentions.

I was told that it is illegal to tint windshield and front windows at all in CA so I decided to go 85 all around and scream yolo when I see cops. It was a year or so and since then I was pulled over a couple of times and got a speeding ticket but no cop said a word about my tint

Be careful. Legally, depending on your state, you could very well be out of compliance. If you get pulled over and issued a ticket, that could force you to remove the tint, at your expense, and pay a fine.

I know someone who got into this situation and the state revoked her license because she refused to pay the fine and show up to court in order to prove that she had the tint removed.

In Michigan, you can not legally go over 35%

Yeah he's definitely not legal by any means but full tint is so common out here most of the time you won't get pulled over for it unless a cop is bored or looking for a reason to pull you over. Not saying it makes it any less illegal, just that most cops out here don't care so much.

I've had all my windows fully blacked out on every vehicle I've owned for the past 17 years and have only actually been pulled over for tint twice in that time (living in CA). Luckily I only had to remove the tint one of those times. It's still a risk and the hassle is pretty major if you do get busted for them though.

Yeah it looks a lot lighter in person, but out here everyone has their fronts done. But of course, if i get a ticket i would promptly pay it and remove it. I'll post another picture in the sun tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback and advice everyone

That does look fairly dark for 45% but when I saw the title, I was expecting it to be too light. Looks great to me!
