O2 sensor life
2011 335i, AR downpipe, 60 k miles. A few weeks ago I got:
2D15: O2 sensor, delayed response, rich to lean. 2CED: Oxygen sensor after catalytic converter, dynamics, from rich to lean: slow response. I changed out the O2 sensor and cleared the codes. Good so far. While searching for the part I read that issues with a catalytic converter can cause premature failure of the rear O2 sensor. Will the same occur when a downpipe is installed? |

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Hmmm, I just got the 2CED again the other day. Took a few weeks for either of them to come back. Cleared it. Ok so far. As I am in the process of tuning with Justin I have to wonder if the codes aren't tune related. Tune related as it is not yet optimised. Just started the process.
