Front lower wishbone replacement, is alignment needed?
I had my alignment set in September after replacing the front upper control arms and inner and outer track rods. This was done on a Hunter and made a huge difference to the way the car drove.
I've had my MOT this morning and there's now slight play in the near side lower ball joint so I'm going to replace both lower wishbones. My question is, do I need an alignment? I'm not trying to cut corners here, I'm short of time so fitting in the repair then the alignment is the issue. The ball joint wasn't worn when the alignment was done so if there's no adjustment on the wishbone, I can't see the need for an alignment. Thoughts? |

Small variations in component tolerances and wear can add up to an inherited error, best to get it checked by someone skilled enough to do it properly, with calibrated gauges.
