Exclamation Air bag light won't reset after air bag install. Help please..

Hi guys, fellow e92 owner needs an advice. Bought a 2009 335xi from salvage auction that had steering and passenger roof air bags deployed. Replaced both air bags. Also replaced replaced the positive terminal and driver seat buckle ( because I know they go bad during an accident.). Local shop tried to clear the codes, but only buckle error code was erased and rest of the codes stayed.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

A few things come to mind. First, sometimes SRS codes are difficult to clear, sometimes you need to flash the module to clear them. Are you 100% sure the replacement parts are compatible with your VIN and manufacture date?
I think you need some software to delve deeper here.
Check out bimmergeeks.net/downloads.
BTW, you can clear codes using MHD for free if you have the K+DCAN cable.

BTW, did the car come from copart?

Yes all parts are oem. I did forget to mention that car is jb4 tuned. I tried to clear using that, but no luck. Car did come from copart indeed.

Hey! Keep us in the loop on this! I just bought a 2007 335i E90 from Copart with deployed driver and passenger airbags. So far I have installed a new passenger airbag, ordered new seat belt buckles and just looking for a good deal on a driver steering wheel.

I ordered a C110 BMW scanner that is designed to clear airbag codes, if I have any issues i'd definitely be interested to see how you resolved them.

Not sure BMW does this, on some American cars there is the impact module which detect the impact and deploys the airbag, one tripped this module need to be replace it otherwise the codes doe not clear. Has to do this on my Son truck, had a very minor bumper hit and both bags went off.

I had gotten into in an accident in my e92 and replaced the Battery Safety terminal, steering airbag, passenger curtain airbag, and had the drivers seat belt buckle rebuilt. When I was done I used the Jb4 to reset the codes and all was good. No Impact module to replace.
