Do I need to get new sensors if i changed brake pads?
My dealer quoted me almost 400 to get pads changed so I’m just gonna do it myself. I’m wondering if i need to change the sensors. And a instruction will be helpful as well. Thank you!! Btw it’s a 2013 335 xdrive

If the sensors are not worn/cut from the rotor and if you can handle it carfully to get them off the pads you can reuse them.
(one front, one rear sensor)

When I changed the rear brake pads on my old 2011 535i, I couldn't clear the Brake Fault light until I changed the sensors. They weren't that expensive and were pretty easy to swap out if I remember right. Once again that was on an F10...

I would (and I do every time I change the pads) they are only $20 ea
If the warning light was up on the dash - then most definitely Even if the brake warning has not come up, the end of the sensor that plugs into slot of pad is plastic & gets brittle over time from heat. Sometimes they break when either pulling them out or pushing them back in the slot (fitment is very tight) At that point, during a pad replacement, if the sensor breaks you're SOL if you don't have a new set, you will have to put up with warning on dash, and then take the wheel off again to install once you get the new sensors...

+1. I tried using the old one, and when the car wouldn't update it I plugged in my Foxwell 510 to try with that. It told me that the car said the sensor had been tripped and it had to be replaced to update the service interval. I replaced it (had already bought it with the pads) and the dashboard update tool worked. Don't ask me how the car knew the difference between the old sensor and the new, but it did.
