XI front ball joint REMOVAL

Replacing front control arm. Have a new ball joint laying around so figured I'd swap it out. Removed the torx screws, but seems to be stuck pretty good.. any suggestions for removal?

I've already soaked it with PB and beat on it to no avail

You need a press tool to pop it out. I have the Harbor Freight ball joint press, they sound like a gunshot when they pop free. Can you mash it out with a gear puller? Put the nut back on and grab it with a slide hammer or notched pry bar?

Gotcha! Neither my 2 or 3 jaw puller would fit. I assume you're referring to this setup, I'll have to pick it up next time. I just reinstalled the control arm, which fixed the pull I was having to the left while braking (you replied to my other thread). Thanks again for your input, happy to say the car is stopping in a straight line again
