The Quickjack is here! The Quickjack is here!
The Quickjack is here! The Quickjack is here! It's like Christmas in March! It's not a full-height lift but it is compact and portable and will get the cars up high enough for 90% of anything that needs to be done. It will be used and stored on the Corvette's side of the garage, so the 'Vette will have to be awakened from its winter slumber to be pulled out of the garage so the QJ can be put into place.
Unboxed and ready for set up . . . tomorrow, though, because it's too cold in the garage tonight. But tomorrow, new brakes for the E91 . . . |

Okay, got it set up and did some liftin' on the E91. Pic below.
The big news is that my Corvette does clear it (easily) so I will be able to store it right in place and just park the 'Vette over it. I will try lifting the Corvette tomorrow - hoping I will be able to get it under the lift points without having to drive it onto 2x10 lifters. |

Been contemplating one of these myself, looks a bit short for the e91, so it may be too short for an Explorer we have the family.
Also, is that the highest you can safely lift it? |

No, that is the lowest setting. It has a higher setting that gives a rise of 21 inches. |

It lifts with hydraulics (AT fluid) which means you can disconnect the hydraulic hoses to get them out of the way while you work. They have quick connect fittings so off and on is quick and easy.

Looks real nice. I did a quick search and looks like they might have some teething pains in production, QC as well as customer service.

Right, my point was that with the steel safety wedge, one isn't relying on any rams(hydraulic or pneumatic) to keep the weight of the vehicle lifted and it can't come down in case of a leak.

I have no complaints - I ordered direct from Quickjack, it arrived a week after I ordered it, shipping was free and I was able to use a $100 off promo code. It arrived in good shape, nothing was missing, instructions were thorough and complete, and there are video instructions online. I spent today lifting and lowering my E91 and my Corvette. Did a complete inspection of the brakes on the E91 - rears are good. Fronts would be good except that the left front outer pad has a crack and the rotor is grooved/ridged so the fronts are going to have to be done. |

There was a 1-star Google review posted about 2 weeks ago. The customer received two different sized platforms. Are these Chinese sell-throughs? Great if it works for people, but I will keep an eye on the reviews of Quickjack.
I was looking at the MaxJax, but that will not fit in my garage. https://www.maxjaxusa.com/ Quote:

Well, that's clearly a shipping error, regardless of whether it was drop shipped from QJ or shipped from a vendor, and no reason to give a product a 1 star rating at any rate.
I've heard nothing but positive reviews from those who have actually shelled out the cash. If you have the space, it might be worthwhile to spend another $800 or $1000 on a two-post, but the QJ seems to work very well in a lot of scenarios. |
