2007 e90 335i HPFP possible failure, question on extended warranty
Hi guys it seems like I may have an HPFP problem due to car going to limp mode after engaging the turbo and being able to replicate it. I plan to take it to the dealer but I'm confused how the extended warranty works.
I'm at 95k miles but does the 10 years work when the recall was issued or when the car was purchased/made..etc. I fairly new to the forums and to having a bmw. Purchased this 335i last September. Thanks for any help guys. |

I suggest taking your car or towing your car to your nearest dealership (or even just calling them up) and ask them.
Chances are something like thing being a KNOWN ISSUE should be graced into an existing warranty work even if the extended warranty has expired. Just get in touch with them and be nice and you may be surprised it will be replaced for free.

BMW extended warranty is from in-service date, to 6/100 typically.
The issue could also be VANOS solenoids per the description, which is covered...since you asked about 10 yrs, sounds like you have a 6/100--so just be careful as you're nearing the 100k....make sure you get everything in prior to the mileage expiration. If you reported it prior to expiration, then they should cover even if you cross over 100k.... |
