328i n52 e85 conversion?
I know it wont do anything to increase the HP but e85 here is almost a dollar cheaper than premium fuel. If I do end up fixing the VCG I was thinking about replacing the injectors but I don't know what ones I would use for e85 and what fuel pump.
PS I don't care if the fuel ruins the engine in two years. The car isn't worth anything. But e85 should be 100% safe with injectors, pump and tune. |

e85 is 20% less efficient and with a dollar spread I am saving at least 30 cents per gallon. Plus I get higher octane than 87.

Also spending $1000+ to make your car E85 ready in order to save .30c/gal is fucking absurd.

If you are saving $.30/gallon and it costs $1k to convert you need to buy over 3,000 gallons before you break even. That’s like 200 tanks of gas, or about 4 years to break even at 1 tank per week.
And that’s at the same mileage which it’s not, supposed to be 20% worse mileage so add 20% more into the picture. So in 5 years you will be dead even. Year 6 you will be ahead. Not smart |

“Pointless” “not smart” etc. There’s always stupid comments that don’t add any value.
I think its cool even if it doesn’t pick up significant power. If you were to upgrade internals, it could definitely make good power over 93/91 octane. Do you still have the car? https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1536377 I saw this a while back. |
