One of the greatest of all time in F1 and my first favorite driver in F1. I was watching on TV when he ran into the back of Jochen Mass's car.

There's not many words that can describe the incredible thrill of watching him race. I think the battle between René Arnoux and Villeneuve at Dijon might be still the most remarkable lap of racing I've ever seen.

Can't ever think of him though without also thinking about Greg Moore too.

Agreed on all of this.

I'm sure the FIA would draw and quarter any drivers doing this now. And don't forget the crowd at the finishing line...wow!!

Greg Moore was a shocking loss. He had a really bright future. RIP Greg.

Remember watching him run at Long Beach-very exciting sitting in the Ferrari Club. Saw Clay Reggazoni wreck himself off the straight and run through before the Queen's Hair Pin and it seemed almost harmless.
