Checklist for my incoming BMW

Wash materials
5-gallon bucket
Sheepskin wash mitt
Klasse polish (best place to purchase?)
Meguiars Gold Class Car shampoo
Hose with a nice sprayer nozzle
microfiber drying towels (Where do I get this? Pep boys?)
pack of the cheapo cloths
Quick Detailing spray
Applicators
Mothers wheel polish
Tire shine of some sort (recommendations of something I can get at Pep boys?)
Oxo tire brush to clean those tires/wheels
Leather conditioner (recommendations for something that keeps the new car smell?)
Clay bar (again, anything I can get at pep boys?). I heard car shampoo with water makes a great lubricant
Dawn for the first wash - to remove any grease and or wax left on the car
Wheels
19" ASA AR 1's (What is the optimal size? I saw someone got 275's)
Eagle F1's or General Exclaim UHFs. Not sure which ones yet.
Wheel locks (whats the best?)
Cellphone
Looks like the RAZR is the safest and easiest choice.
Considering buying an unlocked PEBL on eBay but thats more expensive and less proven than RAZR.

I'll probably have more... May add to this list later.

Did I miss anything?

Edit:
Belkin iPod kit for the car. (or another kit with aux wire and adapter if anyone knows of a better one)

The dealer gave me the wheel locks for free with the car.

I'm not the expert on the wash matertials and wheels but you will make a good choice with the RAZR. It has worked for me well so far

Good luck

For the wash I would spend on quality products

Car pro reset - soap
Car pro iron x - decontaminant
Any clay bar should be fine

Polish - if you are just doing hand polish then meguiers polish should be ok , there are many variations , you probably want something less aggressive like ultimate polish or m205 . If you are doing a compound for the deeper scratches m105 should work or ultimate compound . Without a machine it ll take longer
On that note car pro also has a product which works by filling the scratches , its call car pro essence plus ( not the regular essence , that is a polish)

car pro eraser - if you are planning on doing a polish , do yourself a favour and buy the eraser, its a excess polish remover , trust me , it will save you a very long long time trying to remove all the polish after you are done. I wont work without eraser if I have to polish a car, never again.

Sealer or wax- Really you choice here, there are so many type of waxes , sealants out there. Some that I ve used
turtle wax ice , car pro reload , car pro elixir
If you want to get more serious about protection then ceramic coatings or graphene is where you are looking at , but you would need to make sure the paint on your car is near perfect before you apply it , since once its on , its on for years.

In regards to towels , where to start here, I have spend 100s of dollars on different towels. I was hooked on the korean 70 /30 for a while , but lately they have been leaving lint on the car, not sure if its age or what . I would tell you this , I bought these sinland microfiber towels from amazon and they have been the best overall towels for me , and I have brand name towels in my collection .

https://www.amazon.com/SINLAND-Micro...375662&sr=8-20

those were the first towels I purchased and they have been really good , outperformed a lot of name towels people recommended here.
For drying I would def recommend dry me crazy from microfiber madness . Griots PFM is also pretty good , expensive though. Personally I ve been super happy with dry me crazy , I have one towel over 4 years and is still going strong
You just need to be careful how you wash them. I personally use the gentle detergent , and dry on low

hope this help

Hello Moto...
lmao, I didn't catch the date until I got here. Thought he was talking about some trick iPhone mount I haven't heard of. What's funny is we've come full circle with the new folding phones from Motorola and Samsung.

I read the first few entries and was like 'dude has a plan for a 10-15 year old car. I wonder what year he's getting?'

Lmao

No worries, water is still the same 14.5 years later.
