Best Places to Sell 1993 BMW
I'm expecting to pick up my new E90 any day now and am looking to sell a 1993 318iS in great condition in the Chicago area. It has 150K miles and looks/runs like new. Where do people suggest I advertise (locally and on-line) to find the kind of person looking for a gem like this? |

I would try listing it on eBay. High mileage, older cars tend to go for more than they are really worth on eBay as long as they are really clean and you take a ton (25 - 30) of pictures of every single inch of the inside and outside of the car. I believe the listing fee for eBay is a flat rate, and you can put a reserve price on it so it doesn't go for less than you want to sell it for. I would start it at like $100. You will get a whole lot more bids that way, and the more bids you have the more people will look at the auction.

Thanks for the suggestions. At first crack, I'm trying cars.com, autotrader.com, Tradin' Times (local paper), and Craig's List (Chicago). The first two also feed you searchers from AOL, Yahoo, MSN Autos, KBB, Edmunds and others.
I'm a bit intimidated by EBay but may try it if others don't work out. I'll keep you posted. Any other ideas appreciated. |

I sold my car on Autotrader after a week that it was up. Just curious, but how much are you asking?
