What to do with plums?
Besides make prunes, or feed them to the chickens? Anybody here with experience making wine? Would I be wasting my time/money trying that?

Prune juice is awesome!!! They're so awesome that they're so expensive as heck these days, more expensive than a litre of premium gas. I wouldn't drink it for constipation reasons but other health reasons I wouldn't discuss because I want to keep it a secret.

We have SO many right now I can't eat them all, plus the peach and apple trees are just aobut to burst forth as well.
I checked around and you're *SUPPOSED* to leave plum wine in the bottle for at least a year before drinking, so that may not work either. I guess I'll just keep feeding the dropped ones to the chickens. |

Unfortunately, somebody beat me on the work thing, there's a bowl of them gathering flies in the break room already. Try to bring a bag to every baseball practice, but that only gets rid of 3-4 at a time. Gonna have the cleanest chickens in the west!

Depends on how much you have. If you have a pluthera of plums, find a farmers market and sell/give them away. Better yet do the feel good thing and drop it off at a shelter.

The local Food Share I normally support is a bit sketchy on backyard produce, but I'm going to try to get my dad to take some in since he's on the Board there.
