Leather Comparo

When I ordered my 335d I went with the Individual leather option. This was mainly due to having poor experiences with std leather in the past. Mercedes and Honda leathers, for example, are more like fancy vinyl than the real deal and wear accordingly. Individual is Merino leather, sourced from Bavarian cows no less! Wow! After close to 14k with my butt sat on the stuff I must admit to being more than impressed. It seems to be wear-proof! This stuff is the dogs bo**ocks - sorry, I mean cow's skin. Must all that beer in Bavaria. Have a look and see for ye-self:

The standard leather is great aswell - no signs of wear on mine and I've done over 35K now.

Looks good mate.

May i ask what type of driving and distances you have done in the 14k as this can play a big part in wear. But in all honesty i wouldnt expect much wear that quickly.

BC4J,

Ruby black is my favourite colour That colour leather looks great too but it certainly not cheap

I always thought that it's not the actual mileage of sitting in a seat that wears it out but more the moving around in it and getting in / out of the car??

What a great colour combo!

The standard jade grey is still in perfect condition in my car after about 8500 miles. I get in and out of the car about 2-3 times a day.

The Novillo leather in my M is noticeably smoother and much better quality than the Dakota leather in my E90

Looks great...can't go wrong with Merino. Hope Novillo is the same on the M3.

Ta Dude. Mostly commute for work stuff, mixture of A roads and M4/M25. Very exciting.

Cheers Steve. I must admit this leather is top drawer. I'll always order the Merino stuff on any future BMs.

Colour is rather quaintly called Rust Brown - how the hell did that get past marketing?!

Just saw pics of your car, beautiful.

So mickym interior is called Oxyd Brown, I guess that Rust Brown is what's it's called in UK.
