Fireworks Photos
I'll be taking some fireworks photos tomorrow night. Anyone else?
My gear for tomorrow: Nikon D80 Nikkor 24mm 1:2.8 D or Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4 D Tripod I haven't shot fireworks very often, and never with the D80. There are a number of websites with suggested photo methods. If I get any good images, I'll post some. |

Boise, Idaho. I think it would be great to see what E90Post members shoot in their cities across America. We had 106 degree temperatures today. It's supposed to be 10 degrees cooler and a little windy tomorrow.

I staked out my spot with a water fountain and a couple flag poles in the foreground. I just hope it is close enough to the fireworks to get good shots that fill the frame. I would have picked a different spot on the ridge that would give a view of the buildings downtown as a backdrop, buy my wife really wanted to be down in the park this year.

Here is one of the pictures from the fireworks tonight. Unfortunately, just before the fireworks started, the fountain was turned off. If I had know they would do that, I would have chosen a different vantage point. Stupid that they would turn off the fountain, but leave the lights on.
Tomorrow I will see if there are any good pictures to post. Did anyone else shoot some photos? |

I have a few more shots to look at and see if they might be worth sharing. I liked this one.

Thanks for the compliment. Did it rain all along the Atlantic coast? That's New York, North Carolina, and Florida so far.
