I've looked into the F80 leather-covered knee pad on the center console, but I'm not quite sold on spending a load of money on a full on retrofit just for a small, padded, leather rest. Thinking about ordering this to see how it looks/fits/feels. At $9, if it's crap, not a big deal. Thoughts?

I have the F80 retrofit, it's not even padded. It's just a piece of leather that covers the plastic surround.

Interesting. Does it make any sort of difference? M2 apparently has a different pad, but I think it's Merino leather. Plus, WAY more than $9.

It's an asthetic piece for me. My knee is no where close to the knee pad while driving.
