Won't it look like the spoiler on my MX? It looks that style to me which I like! I know cons = no SatNav, no bluetooth phone, no voice control lol. pros = WHITE! Ideal = White Red Leather (black would do I suppose) SatNav Bluetooth Voice Control (just for the one day amazement factor lol) Rear spoiler (Would like to see what that one looked like or an M one) Sunroof (Gonna have to compromise on that I think) Google Maps Ring up BMW about Restaurants, Shops, Petrol Stations (well you never know when you may need it)

This one is my dream colour combo but no SatNav etc. http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...=&max_mileage=
Just round the corner from me too! I think it seems a little expensive as well for what is a "used" car, think I could spec what that car has got new for the same price! http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...=&max_mileage= This one has all the talking bits and SatNav, though is a 325d, which will probably defeat the object of buying a modern, good on fuel car! One has a horrible wood trim, I really, really don't want that I'm not over 50 for a long time yet and to think of it combined with white, yuck!

Just been speccing a new one up, to see what they come to with all the bits seems around £35K, so if I can get the right spec used there will be a good saving, unless you can get around £5K off new....doubt it though
On the configurator, it seems you can't have Bluetooth and Professional Nav, Nor can I find Google maps anywhere.

You can have Professional Navigation and Bluetooth together |

BMW Assist is googlemaps and the call BMW for petrol stations thing is it and that lasts for three years?

I'm pretty certain you get things like 'assist', 'voice', 'bluetooth' all part of the ProNav system but worth checking.
My next door neighbour just got your perfect car 2 weeks ago but in 330i guise (white/red, nav, etc) - it's gorgeous. Used from Sytner in Leicester I think - don't know why I gave you that info - it's now been sold!!!). You only get 'assist' for 6 months now when you buy used. It's quite useful but it's up to you whether it's worth the subscription (I certainly won't renew it).

Would love a 330i but it would defeat the object, of what I'm looking for I will still have a fun car. Assist is only for 6 months, thereafter you can't use it, no? So no google maps etc. how much is it to renew?

Ah, all becomes clear - are you ready for this...
If the car is pre Sept 07 you only get 6 months free and then it's £120p/m. If you car is post Sept 07 you get 3 year for free. Apparently the whole system changed, new software and hardware. Older car 'might' be able to be upgraded but depends upon model, age, etc. You'll be OK with your new-ish car!!! Guess who just called BMW ConnectedDrive?!?!?!? I forgot to ask about any differences between E90/E92.

£120 per month, I'm not paying that for some google maps and to call BMW up! I want an Efficient Dynamics car which I believe is post September 2007, so I'll get the rest of the three years.

Oh well that sounds a bit better, I suppose I'll only know if it is worth it on not by how often it is used.

If I find an AW 335i or 335d E92 MSport with Logic7 and Nav for around £30k I will buy it there and then.
Might be a while but I'll keep looking..........................AW is by far the best colour IMO |

Trial and error is always best.
GoogleMaps is easy enough. Register online, follow your nose to the route planner, plan the route (personally I found it quite restrictive to use and specify your route), then hit the send to car button. The address appears in your 'my info' bit on your communication section of i-drive. Then select 'use as destination'. Think there's a 'update messages' button somewhere you need to hit to download the new info. All a bit fiddly really. To call up BMW for specific searches, firstly make sure you call the right bit. I've called the emergency people twice by mistake to ask for directions - they haven't got a sense of humour. It's BMW Info you need and not BMW Assist. You hit the 'new enquiry' button, wait for ages for the system to wake up, eventually you'll hear ringing, when answered just tell them what you want. If they can find what you need they send the info to your car in the same way as googlemaps. I've found it very hit and miss. I obviously called the wrong people twice. They've haven't been able to locate places twice. Problem with communication i.e. the car hadn't sent the positioning data during the call so couldn't help - they couldn't send me the info without knowing exactly where the car was so had to call back; didn't bother. On numerous occassions it just won't work saying I need to call Customer Services. Usually takes about 10 minutes driving for the system to come to life. IMO, it's OK, but only for emergencies really. Not worth the subscription - not bad if it's free.
