The title of the article says Bankruptcy Protection which means a chunk of his assets can't be seized. It's a smart move for Vick........rich people do this all the time.

When he gets out of prison and settles all of his legal obligations and if he still has the athleticism as in the past, I see no reason why he shouldn't at least be given an opportunity. But if I were an owner he'd have a contract at the minimum NFL salary yet fully laden with incentives and, more importantly, some very serious and strict penalties. Of course, I'd do the same with a mere rookie, too.

Yeah I feel the same way..rookie contracts are ridiculous just on the mere fact none of them (in any sport) have proven anything at a professional level and should be primarily incentive geared.

very possible, believe me I'm no 'The Man' is out to get Mick Vick guy - I just felt the whole thing got snowballed...not saying he didn't deserve any type of sentence because he did and what he did WAS wrong legally and morally..but I also don't wanna see the guy go down without a shot of redemption.

all this for dogfighting. Jesus Christ. To think that repeat DUI offenders can just get a slap on the wrist at times, this sure is overkill in comparison.
