So far...

Positives: Great job by the Red Sox staff giving the yankee players the proper amount of respect in their park. Also getting just about everyone in the game

Negatives: No class f'ing yankees fans (no wonder everyone hates them). And these retarded Fox analysts...they couldn't have worse anouncers. Fox either needs to stop covering MLB games or fire Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. The former is a retard and only has a job because of his dad, and the latter is a washed up senile old bag.

id have to agree with everything you just said. its NY so you have new yorkers there. in tampa we STILL have way more yankees fans (me included) than rays fans despite the fact that they are in first. they are kinda like eagles fans in the nfl with their attitude. i personally like being loud and obnoxious during a game, but i wouldnt degrade other players... just yell at them

please if the all star game was in boston it would be the other way around. All the boston fans would boo the yankee players. So lets not start with yankee fans not having class

Off Topic (sort of): i cant wait for the all-star break to be over. when that happens, the red sox will start to fold and the yankees will come out of nowhere to take the division like usual

If you listen to the entire Papelbon interview, his comments were taken out of context. The NY press put a incorrect slant on one sound bite of his interview so they could sell newspapers and the lemming Yankee fans bit off on it.

The Yankee fans showed no class tonight. That was ugly and uncalled for.

BTW, I think the Fox coverage has been excellent and Joe Buck and Tim McCarver are doing and excellent job IMHO.

ichiro didn't throw the guy out at second he was safe. there was a play at home that was also questionable

Have you ever been to a Yankee/Red Sox game at Fenway? Only A-Rod is boo'd consistantly, and that's cuz he deserves it. Rivera wouldn't have gotten that kind of treatment. And you'd think that Yankee fans would at least recognize that Manny is from New York...and not boo him at a Park that he grew up next to.

I dunno, I think it was pretty sad, that they boo'd every Red Sox player, plus Francona, who did nothing but respect the Yankee players at their park.

As I said, only A-Rod would gets boo'd constantly at Fenway.

I will say that it was nice to see Yankee fans actually cheering for Drew when he hit the HR to tie the game at 2.

My initial reaction was the same. They booed Manny, Padroia, Youk and even Francona! I was like WTF. But then I thought about it, and Boston fans would do the same.

That was classic to see Wade Boggs out there!!!

Drew played great tho...gotta give respect where its deserved...he deserved the mvp...but its all fun n games, its a rivalry...i hate the pats to lol : )

I dunno...just saying boston would have done the same doesn't really excuse it. Especially when the NY tabloids intentionally misquote Papelbon and NY fans shout insults at his pregnant wife...but I'm sure that would've happened in boston too.
