Need Assistance – Exterior Trim Part #’s

Hey guys, I’m ordering the trim parts to trade out the shadow line (black) with the chrome (330i) trim. I did my homework and dug around on realoem.com, and got price quotes from dealers, but a couple of the part numbers don’t look right. If somebody could double check this info before I order it, I’d appreciated it!

Top Window Trim
Left 511 371 212 35
Right 511 371 212 36

Bottom Window Trim
Front 513 370 602 35
Back 513 370 602 36

Front Grill
Left 511 371 200 09
Right 511 371 200 10

Tail Pipes Tips (I already checked this one) 183 075 495 58

Aluminum Pedals (just to make sure) 350 003 046 42

I think these are all the pieces for the chrome trim package...

51 13 7 121 235 :TRIM STRIP
51 13 7 121 236 :TRIM STRIP
51 33 7 119 981 :CHANNEL COVER
51 33 7 119 982 :CHANNEL COVER
51 35 7 119 215 :WEATHER STRIP
51 35 7 119 216 :WEATHERSTRIP

Chrome Kidney Grills:
- 51-13-7-120-009 Left
- 51-13-7-120-010 Right

CHROME EXHAUST TRIM (325I ONLY)
- 82-12-0-398-334 (TWO REQUIRED)

I believe (based on Booster's posts)...the 4 smaller pieces is about $160 shipped although I have seen the entire package quoted as high as 400-600 bucks (labor not included).

For your reference, I got my 330 grilles (shipped) from Booster for $65...

So how is your order going? Do you have a PCD date yet? I believe Jim is quite tight with Danielle over at the Performance center, you might try ask him for the earliest possible date....

Awesome thanks! Do need the weather strips? I thought it was just the cover that was replaced.

I'll give booster a try.

PCD date of April the 20th (but my car landed TODAY!). I had it scheduled for the 10th, but had to change it b/c of my schedule. All the Fridays in April were gone. :-/ The month waits going to kill me, but it'll be worth it.

mmeads: Congratulations...wow Apr 20 is a loooooong wait.... sure you can wait that long? Orginally, I had also ordered PCD through Jim, but mid-voyage I cracked and changed it to normal delivery... now looking back, it was just 2 more weeks. I'll save it for the next one...

I believe you'd need all 6 pieces....are you gonna do the swap yourself? If you are, check with e90poster bavarian19 for tips/DIY...I had this idea as well and actually had coordinated with bavarian19 for help in installation, but ater delivery, I liked the look of SG without the chrome window trim...

The rear window chrome pieces are called weatherstrips for some reason

You would have to remove the rubber seals ( they fit inside the mettal piece )from the old pieces, unless you buy new ones for the chrome pieces

Id take the part number you have for the tailpipes, since these are the 330i ones, and not the different looking 325i chrome covers

Will do, won't get the car 'till next month though. :-/ So it'll be a while. Would it be bad to take the tips to SC when I pick up the car though??

Yeah, I was going to offer it up on the board after I get it all off. It's either that or it's going in the dumpster. The only problem is I don't know how to ship the big pieces.

By all means take the tips to SC, if your delivery specialist won't give you a hand (I am sure he will), just pull over and slip them on....less than 5 minutes even for someone as DIY-challenged as me Heck, might as well do the chrome grilles as well....
