Electric Memory Seats
Hi,
Just wanted to know if I'm misunderstanding how the memory seats work on my car. I know the two memories are connected to the two supplied keys, such that you can swap driver seat position dependant on which key is being used to unlock the car. The issue I have is if someone else drives the car and moves the seat, when I go back to it and unlock the car (with the same key), it doesn't revert to the memory position, I have to press and hold the relevant memory preset button on the seat until the seat moves back to the correct position. Is that correct? I just expected it to always move back to the saved memory position for each key when unlocked regardless. Cheers Sean |

Press the mem button (1 or 2) once just before you shut the door and the seat should continue to move to the preset position. Door shut or not. Never tried different keys sorry.

There is a setting in iDrive that controls if the seats automatically move when the door opens, or when the key is inserted (or not at all)

Its just if someone drives it with say key 1 but moves the seat. I then unlock the car with key 1, it stays in the manual position they moved the seat to. I have to press and hold button 1 to reset the seat back to the correct position. Thinking about it this is probably correct....otherwise it would move too often. Will have a play with it when comes back from the bodyshop..... |

Sounds like your car is behaving as it should......until we get fingerprint recognition as an option.......
