I'm looking forward to selling my 2006 BMW 325i but I have no clue what it's worth and would like some opinions on what you all think it's worth.

I've bought the car a few months ago and it had a muffler/resonator delete as well as a check engine light that has to do with a P0128 code which from what I have read is a sign that the thermostat and/or water pump needs to be changed. The check engine light has been removed with a OBII Scanner and it has her to be fixed. There are minor paint chips on the front bumper as well as the back right side of the near near the fender lining. There are noticeable paint chips within the steering wheel but as far as the rest of the interior, it's in good if not great condition.

The car runs fine and I have had no issues with it. I drive it daily with no problems but decided that it's time to sell it and purchase a newer car.

Given what I know, how much do you think the car is worth? Is it better to trade/sell the vehicle to a place like CarMax or am I better off finding a local buyer?

Pictures of the overall condition would help. Also depends on mileage and options. I'd estimate with needing a waterpump you're probably looking at around ~$3,000. Selling to a private party would bring more money than selling to a dealer like carmax as carmax has to recondition the car and then still turn a profit when reselling it.
