had a drive out today, found an amazing 10 mile stretch of road ....

who says there are no decent quiet drivers roads in England !? this one was a right beauty and only past one car

Is it a road which goes from ''A'' to ''B''

''A'' being anywhere you may have left from and ''B'' being somewhere you and the road goes too?

That brought back some childhood memories!

I just googled Alston Moor (from the sign in your photo) not having a clue where it was.

My nan used to have a caravan at a place called Westgate not too far away.

Just found it on google maps, all still there. I can remember my Dad driving us up into the surrounding hills and having a snowball fight somewhere near the top in August.

Lovely part of the country. I'll have to go back now !!!

If you follow the A689 out to the North west a little you see what I mean.

A town called "Slaggyford". I thought you were in Cumbria, not Essex.

yeah its a lovely place, well worth a trip. I was gonna edit that sign out but i decided to leave it in, glad i didnt now
