thanks NFS - flippin did it the hard way by sticking them on a hosting site.....
hmmm, they're well due a trim & tidy-up!! cheers 330cdsport - the "Editions" offer stated a "choice of 2 wheel styles" as part of the package, but one dealer I spoke with basically said it would be "pot-luck" which style it arrived with due to availability.... I didn't take that as read, found out what code this style was (not easy initially, as they're not available on the saloon configuration, but realised they were from the coupe, so got the code from that). Must admit, it WAS one of the things i was looking out for on collection day, just in case!!

Lovely car, just make sure you keep on top of the dye transfer from your jeans! I wipe it down with Zymol leather cleaner every other day and it is fine. you can use most leather cleaners and it will be ok. Enjoy your car.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm really chuffed with it - migrated from an A3TDi Sport DSG.
DXB - the wheels are 17's and were one of the 2 choices available within the "Editions" offer that BMW have had running. Unlike the other style (can't remember what the code was), these were not previously fitted on the saloon - when I was looking for the BMW type/style code for them to ensure my order was clear & correct, I actually found them on the coupe configurator. No mods planned, co. car. would have loved to have spec'd xenon, adaptive, bluetooth and a few other bits and pieces, but we have to pay for our options (twice - once to the company and then again to Mr Dodgy-Eybrows), and I had to be ruthless with what options I wanted - although it helped that metallic paint and leather were "free" to me as it came within the "Editions" offer. Oh, one "mod" I will be doing (he says, contradicting), will be the spring-loaded bag-hook that was on the underside of the parcel shelf in my A3 - very handy, and simply 2 self-tapping screws. took mine off the A3, but if anyone is interested I think they're only about 12 quid from Audi - one of our American cousins posted a thread on this forum with pics. Thanks for the advice Neilmc - that was the one thing I was worried about in going for Lemon - knew it would be a pain. Had the car less than a week and already if you look very closely there's a very small layer of "grime" building up on on the seat - and that's just off general clothes, not brand new jeans! Figured I'd be giving the seats a gentle wipe down every few days with something, to stop it building up - was thinking of some sort of impregnated wipes to keep in the car for regular use through the week, then every so often really set to with better cleaner / feed ? anyone got any thoughts? Getting a budgie - sorry, Parrot, fitted tomorrow along with multican interface - no point having the buttons on the s/w redundant! Not keen on the look of the parrot, but nowhere really to put the controller of my current h/f kit - Sony Ericsson HCB700, and anyways it would simply act as a phone kit and not interface with the s/w controls, so parrot it is.....

Just go to halfords and get some zymol leather cleaner or get it on ebay, about £8 and use a tesco value dish cloth, nothing fancy.Wipe it down every few days, this will keep the leather fine and the cleaner is just a clear ish orange liquid, dries very quick, smells nice and does the trick.Other things can dry out the leather. It is not as bad as it looks and cleans up very well.Just keep the cloth and cleaner in the boot, chuck the cloth when it gets manky, that's all I do.Most other leather cleaners are too strong or do more harm than good.Hope this helps.

Very nice - those were the wheels I saw on one being delivered (it was on the back of a transporter on the way up thw M1) - I nearly cricked my neck I looked round so fast.
They are very nice wheels, and I have to say look even better in the flesh!

Welcome Wingco and I agree with the others, nice colour combinations.
As for your leather, as Neil has said many leather cleaners are too strong so please be careful and try to avoid getting the leather too damp for any prolonged period when wiping etc. It's the same as horse saddles - n'owt worse than soggy leather luv. Enjoy your new car |

Arghhh, back on form Neil
Your friend really should look after her 'saddle', tut, tut. As for riding Neil - leading question mate but wtf Used to years ago, then progressed to riding motorbikes and now just driving cars. Ultimately, my arse is still in contact with leather. |
