Aftermarket lip

Hey guys I wanted to know what some of you are doing to secure your front lips beside 3m tape and screws. I was doing about 110mph today and the middle of my lip flew off. Before and after pics are below.

I believe its an installer error. Besides the push pins and 3m tape also the 10mm bolts you're suppose to screw new holes underneath at the center. Then towards the outside of the centers.

Lol i did the same thing about a week ago with the same lip. To above^ its the m performance plastic lip. Not an oem piece, have to find it aftermarket

I just ordered a lip for mine and besides double sided tape it did come with hardware (clips screws etc) - it's currently getting painted right now and will be installed next week with my high kick spoiler. I didn't want the carbon fiber route

The sides held just fine but the center blew off.

I don't know of many roads in the US that has a speed limit that high.

FWIW - I have the EBAY front lip. On the 2nd one as my daughter smashed the first one on a parking block. Used NONE of the hardware that came with the lip. I used an 8mm nut and 8mm 1-inch bolt with a small washer for ALL the mounting points. The center I drilled 2-holes to accommodate that mounting point.

With the hits and air pressure the front end gets any type of self-tap-screw or push-expansion-pin just won't cut it.

Even with my daughter hitting a parking block and cracking up the splitter, it STILL held on firm for weeks of highway driving until the replacement splitter arrived.
