Angry Driver flashed me then gave me W*nker sign

Another rant.

Some guy driving in the opposite direction to me flashed his full beams at me, then when he got closer, gave me the wanker sign

This isn't the first time something like this has happened either.

Just to clarify. I was driving perfectly normal doing 60mph on a 60mph road. I did absolutely nothing wrong.

I'm sure something similar has happened to a lot of us.

Hmm....are you sure it wasn't for the car in front of him??

It may also have been him warning you of a speed trap coming up.....and then he decided to give you the finger?? LOL no clue man....

check if your lights are not too high pointing and need adjustment. If you blind oncoming traffic that is about the ONLY reason why anyone would get so offensive to you. Esp that you say it happened before.

but you say you didnt have lights on.. then just ignore this as idiotic behaviour of a stupid hater.

Do you have your DRLs on? If so, he was probably trying to let you know your headlights were on in the middle of the day. I get that every now and again. Because of the inappropriate sign I'd discount the speedtrap theory.

Ok. Let me just cover a few things.

1. I didnt have my lights on. It was the middle of the day.

2. There is no speed trap to be warned of.

3. This was a quiet country road with only him and me on it si he wasnt flashing anyone else.

4. He gave me the 'Wanker' sign, he wasnt warning me of anything or complaining about my lights.

A quiet country road over here is sometimes almost too narrow for two cars to pass by each other. I'm guessing he thought you were too far over towards the middle. If this theory doesn't fly then I guess the guy just didn't like you being on "his" country road.

This is the wanker sign below.

And no, the road wasn't too narrow, i was on my side of the road. He was obviously jealous of my sexy car and stunning good looks

And for all the people accross the pond. A wanker is the british equivalent of a 'jerk off'. A hand gesture that I am masturbating. It's given as an insult.

I knew that a wanker was, just didn't know people in the UK drive down the highway waving their wrist up and down...I guess it makes more sense to do so over there since their vehicles are all RHD

should've mentioned that in your first post.....most people will assume you must have been driving at night.

Now that I know what the "wanker sign" is.......thats hilarious, I thought the wanker was what you brits called flipping someone off. But people only give out "wanker" signs to things or people that are considered lame, IMO.....not as offensive or as cut and dry as being flipped off. Whatever

How would i have seen him giving me the sign if it was at night?

At at combined speed of approximately 120mph, at night, down a country lane i would have never seen a thing. I thought it was obvious it was at day.

People are dumb and occasionally do things that make no sense. In my experience most Brits have no problem acknowledging that there are dumb rude people in other countries but, amazingly enough it seems you guys have them too.
