Finally booked in for remap (177D)

Driving down to Evolve on Saturday.
Was booked in before I recently went to the ring but a delay in equipment arrival meant I had to wait
Fingers crossed for good results.
Will be intresting to compare with the spider currently fitted.
Results will follow for those intrested(I know I will be!!)

Are you going to dyno it before the map with the spider on for comparison?

I'd go for standard, then spider, then remap. That's provided that Sal has the time.

If Evolve have time they might want to do it for free to try and prove the map is better than people buying tuning boxes

Just a thought

Thanks for coming down.

I'm sure your happy with the additional power and torque

We did the Spider box dyno run out of curiosity and the difference from the below dyno graph is quite clear. The rest of the on road drivability difference i'm sure you'll go through for the members.

Thanks for posting that one Sal; somewhat puts to bed the tuning-box v remap debate !

Just to say to all who are considering a remap:
I had a great visit to Evolve,Imran and Sultan made me very welcome and feel involved in the dyno session.
They showed much Enthusiasm.
It also showed they have confidence in there product as they could have ended up with egg on there face with different results!!
You can see from the graph that basically the Evolve graphs are pretty much as BMW ones but higher up in the figures..
The car feels so smooth and effortless(for a 2.0 derv!!) and now "lifts" on kickdown.
The roads home were quite busy so I struggled to really play around with it.
However at one point I followed a Focus ST and I literally did FOLLOW HIM all the way up to 70(X2!!!!!!!)there was nothing in it.
I keep saying to myself "This is a 2 litre diesel" that averaged 50.5 mpg
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC

My brother is having his twin turbo X5 3.0d done now as well...

Really impressive - been running this for almost a week now and the extra power has made the car far more exciting to drive, both normally and spiritedly.
