Only problem with the B3 is the amount of money they loose, they hemorage money after a couple of years, always do alright at the start but compared with an M3 at 3, 4 or 5 years old they don't do well at all.

That may change this time round with the M3 being a thirsty V8, the fact an M3 has now turned up on pistonheads at under £34k just shows how difficult the market is for sub 20mpg cars, but it will still loose alot of money.

I can't afford to loose that sort of dosh but I do think it is a truly stunning car and that particular one looks stunning!!

seats look good but too harsh compared with the black - and the white lower dash - all IMO of course! (PS - are they sports seats BTW? The originals are not gonna keep you in place with all that power on board!

Maybe it's due to this particular LCD on which I'm looking the picture, but that color looks exactly like Cream Beige. And yes, that is a nice interior

And the trim looks OEM BMW.

Edit:

Ok, I've verified, it definately is Cream Beige... The only strange thing is that the lower part od the hand brake (e-brake) is also colored in Cream Beige, it's black on my car...

He's being formal again Anyhow Chris, I won't mention anything about window shopping eh. No I'm not bored with the Cayman but as most women window shop for clothes, I do it with cars. Although shoes and boots are a different matter.

Yes, I do get bored very easily and require constant stimulation.

I kind of fancy a 911 (997) - bored of the 'vert a little - still looks the dogs danglies (IMO of course) but fancy a real drivers car. Wanted the Datsun GTR but not into playing lottery games with delivery dates, etc..

Seems you can buy quite a bit of Porsche for mid 40k - gonna have to wait until next Spring tho until the 'vert is up for change. Will cost me too much to get rid of it earlier

You Window Shop I get bored

The Scirocco was only going to be short term anyway so I don't mind if I have to keep the B3

How about a 997 c4S? I did enjoy that one I had as a courtesy car and don't know whether you've read Tony's (E92 fan) comments on his Thruxton thread about the Carrerra 4S being a good everyday car. Totally agree about the prices becoming more reasonable as well.

You've got more money than sense or change your cars as often as yer shreddies. Says she totally hypocritically of course.

One needs something in life to aim for I say and it relieves the boredom.

Perhaps I should set my sights higher I'm always being told I get there to soon

Btw: The Money doesn’t usually become an issue due to my special arrangement with New Cars

I'm the same and a bit extreme in changing cars I either need to keep swapping them or have a reall good project on the go!!

Oh and I'm the same with shoes but I go looking for expensive ones really cheap because I'm a Size 3!!

As for the car I love it I think Alpinas are really just a cut above oh and I'd rather an Alpina over an M Car personally ........ (waits to get flamed for that)

I've created my own scenario in my mind for that first comment.

Now, you can't possibly make a comment like that about a 'special arrangement' and money to a woman and not expect to be asked to expand further. So cough up please.

No C4Ss they are for wimps haha .... Red E93 get a C2S Or for £50K do you actually realise you are in 911 (996) GT3 Mk. 2 teritory, which any decent 997 C2S will be that through the OPC anyway

Porsche to consider -
911 (997) C2S
911 (996) turbo
911 (996) GT3 Mk. 1 or 2
911 (993) turbo
911 (993) C2S
Cayman S
Boxster S the new 3.4 is sublime (better than the 986 3.2) and the RS60 looks gorgeous one in OPC Nottingham

Dainty tootsies then Porscha, just like my elder sis. I've got the biggest feet at size 4 would you believe.

The 4 wheel drive does improve handling and grip and he can't afford to be in something that has the potential to be a bit tail happy with his children in the car. Sure the C2S is alot of fun though. If those bloody lottery balls had even dropped my 5 numbers whatever I'd be off to get the new 997 turbo. It's not fair.

Lol you must get bargains too One of my friends is a Size 8!!

Ah, see why he would like a C4S then, mind you I grew up with 60's Alfas Not very responsible at all but fun lol!

Oooo I wish my numbers would come up, though the turbo is fab I'd be after a 911 (997) GT3RS in Orange with Black wheels and decals as my daily driver, the rest would be really silly stuff like a V8 Midget, a TVR Cerbera, a Porsche 911 2.7 RS etc. Can only dream!!

You are right Helen, the four wheel drive had crossed my mind for those reasons precisely. However, my last car (A4 2.0t quattro) had permanent four wheel drive and I thought swapping back to RWD with a decent amount of HP on tap may 'surprise' me at times.....but it hasn't. I know my 3.0l is no match for any Porsche but with modern computers on cars, they do a good job at keeping it all sensible for everyday driving. Obviously possibility still exists to have fun once turned off!

I much prefer the looks of the 997 (don't like the 996 headlamp style at all) so think that is the model on my list. Also not too bothered about having the fastest 911 I can! You can never use the speed often anyway and even the carrera S 3.8 is still plenty quick enough with 355 ponies to push it along!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=270267132474

If I was in a position to change now this would be number one on the list!
