N55 Rough Idle Performance Loss
Lately I've been having nothing but problems with my 2011 e93. Last weekend the car was running perfect then as I was pulling out of a parking lot I got on the throttle and it backfired and went in limp mode. Ever since the car has an extended crank, rough idle, ticking sound, extreme loss of power, and a blinking service engine light. I had the codes ran at an Autozone before this happened and had several codes come up.
P0238 Turbocharger boost sensor A circuit high P007D Charge air cooler temperature sensor circuit high bank 1 P0420 Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1 P0299 turbocharger underboost Ran the codes again afterwards and had several misfires. Throughout the week I replaced all the spark plugs and ignition coils and saw no change. The car recently has had an exhaust manifold/turbo replacement, charge pipe, TMAP sensor, HPFP, and catless downpipe. Honestly have no idea what it could be thinking maybe O2 sensors but not sure if they would just go bad again with the catless? |

Personally, I would start with a BMW-capable code reader.
Working with these generic translations, it sounds like you have a bad TMAP sensor or wiring and/or blew your charge pipe. So a smoke test and a visual inspection of the sensor wiring are good first steps. |
