340i M Performance Suspension Question

Does anyone know why there is no M Performance suspension available for the 340i or if one of the M Performance kits will fit the 340i? I have not been able to find any definitive answer to this question.

It looks like there are suspension kits available for the 235i, 335i, 435i, 440i, etc but not the 340i.

I just had the M Performance suspension installed two weeks ago on my 2017 340i M-Sport. Part #33-50-2-409-928 Retrofit Kit Sports Suspension (with the red springs). When you pull up the part# on Shopbmw, com it does say 335i, 440i etc and not 340i. Even some BMW Dealerships are confused by the kit nomenclature. I am loving the improved handling and cornering. There is much less body lean and surprisingly the stiffer springs do not make the ride overally harsh unlike my previous 2007 335i sport tuned suspension, which was brutal.

Awesome, thanks man. I'm definitely thinking about upgrading to the M-Performance suspension

just our of curiosity, for the price, why not upgrade to Ohlins R&T, KW V2 or Bilstein B16?

Good for those who want to retain their original warranty. For example, if someone ran KW's and developed a steering issue, dealer would most likely fault the aftermarket suspension and deny any warranty coverage. I know majority of the 340i owners out there still have their original warranty including me. But honestly, for that price, I'd go with KW V2's. Just my 2 cents.

What he said! I'm under warranty so I'd rather have the peace of mind of having it covered if anything went wrong

I believe the OEM warranty would be maintained only if the M-performance suspension is installed at a dealership and agreed upon. My point being the installation cost will likely be quite incredible.

I took my chances and installed my M-perf susp (from getbmwparts) myself and did not expect anything related to be under warranty hence.

When I took my car in for service during the warranty period, my notes said "aftermarket suspension" since they didnt know what kind it was. Even if I told them it was BMW M-Perf, I doubt it would've changed anything.

However each dealership and service department is different, so you never know...

340i M Performance Suspension

I have the following mods:

1. m performance suspension
2. m performance brake kit
3. mppsk
4. Dinan cold air intake
5. m performance body parts: carbon fiber rear spoiler, rear diffuser, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber exhaust tips.

All of these except #4 are genuine BMW parts, bought from and installed by my BMW dealership. This car cost too much money for me to worry about warranty, maintenance, fit and finish issues. #4 Dinan was also bought from and installed by my dealership who is an official Dinan authorized distributer/installer and the part does not affect the BMW warranty.

I admire those enthusiasts that are capable of doing their own install/mechanic work. That is definitely not me lol!
