Service and power steering pipe leak
Just had my car serviced (37k miles).
Had the standard vehicle check and oil replacement. They found a power steering leak which they fixed and BMW coughed up for the parts (even though I'm out of warranty) - I paid the £50 labour cost for the replacement of the pressure line and replacement return hose. Cost breakdown OIL - 74.25 Filter - 11.77 Oil disposal - 6.50 Oil service - 26.52 Standard scope service - 17.68 Service - vehicle check - 70.72 So total bill of £300. They also advised on my tyre pressures saying I should be 2.2 front and 2.4 rear? Not sure what I'm on at the moment. BMW service said that the cost of the replacement bit would have come to £400 if BMW hadn't have footed the bill for the "premature" failure.

Yep - chuffed at BMW for stepping up. I do have a warranty anyway so could have claimed on it but for the sake of £50 - why bother?
