Both. Hard drive based with an HD screen.
Hard drive space (GBs) to rip your songs to directly. 3D countoured map display - full wide-screen display of map, and also split screen with differeing map display type. Lots of nice features and improvements. More of a car control centre than just a SatNav. You'll still get people buying a TomTom to stick to their window ... D.

Very cool, the new iDrive. Shame it's so bleedin' expensive.

Yep, that's why people like me will still have a TomTom stuck in their windows!

do you know any more about the in-car internet option? i thought it was going to be available right away but according to a few magazine articles the uk launch has been delayed as BMW are yet to agree tariffs with a mobile provider. I hope the first cars of the production line are internet enabled and just need activating when everything is sorted out. |
