Need Urgent Help!!!!

Can anyone explain how I could get Platnium Audio to pay for the damages they did to my iDrive? I had them install a amp and sub a year back, and now my idrive and everything else(bluetooth, aux, navi.) doesnt work. The SA at Crevier said that i need to have them pay for it, to show them the papers they gave me and that they HAVE to pay for cause however they installed it damaged the gateway i think it was. any ideas???

My other option is what i posted earlier about trading it in for a 335i, but problem with that is i would need someone to cosign with me.....So yea unless someone on here wouldnt mind??? lol

So you've been sitting with a broken iDrive for a year, or everything went to crap a year after your install?

You need to have the dealership write up an estimate and explanation of what caused the problem, then you need to take that to your audio place and get them to pay it.

Odds are they'll tell you to get bent since it's been so long since the work was done. Maybe the dealership's trying to weasel out of a legitimate failure?

It happen about a year later, got it in June last year, happend this year at like the end of June, and i asked for a estimate but he said he wouldnt be able to because they would need to do a diagnostic check which would be 360

Woah, but it worked fine for a year? Sorry but the audio shop is going to deny they caused it because it worked fine. See a lawyer, they know best.

What's the lawyer going to say, "You touched it last, you pay up"? Right. You have zero proof that your prior audio work did anything to cause your current problem... and no proof that it didn't, since you also have no idea what's actually wrong.

Wow. Find a different dealership. Last time I had an issue, the diagnostic fee was $100... and credited toward the repair bill if I chose to have them complete the repairs.

Anyway you're not going to get anyone to pay for anything until you find out what's wrong. Pay for the diagnostic and keep the receipt -- if it turns out to be a warranty claim then BMW should cover it, otherwise pay the repairs out of pocket and take the installer to small claims or follow the American Dream and go after them for repairs, lost time, diminished value, pain and suffering and emotional duress.

Thats what im thinking....Ugh i should have never had them install that shit, but my arrogance is paying the price....DAMN IT!!!!

Think if i have them completely remove anything and take it to another dealer they'll fix it. I had originally gone to BMW of Riverside, but thought they were fucking with me when they told me that so i went to crevier but Aaron explained it more in detail. But what im tryin to say is that, i thought all BMW dealerships had same info, but when i brought it in, they didnt ask anything about Riverside?
