My Beloved Greandmother Celebrates 106th Birthday!
I wanted to share this with you all because it is among other things: A Blessing, a miracle, and uplifting in such a dismal time we are currently in. She is in "exceptional health" with no current underlying health conditions. No Alzheimer or Dementia. Not even Arthritis! She is a true testament of the Grace of God and living a fantastic and healthy Life. My family and I took her into our home a decade ago (she was fully independent then which is incredible too) and she continues to thrive and share her love and wisdom with my sons, her Great-Grandchildren. For those of you who like me, choose to be Caregivers for your loved ones, I salute and commend you...

Just to put into perspective how long she has lived:
World One and Two. Before Television was made. Talking with her is truly amazing... |

Wow! How amazing, can't imagine the stories she has and the things she has seen. Bet she isn't sweating the stuff going on right now. Congrats to her! My Great Grandma lived till 94 with a mind as sharp as a tack. Miss her deeply. Always loved hearing her stories and truly wish I would have recorded them.

God bless her. My great grandmother lived to 95. She was born in 1888! I remember all the stories. So wish she was still around.

What a wonderful thing to celebrate!
My Wife's Grandfather recently passed away and he was 105. Didn't he have some stories on how tough life was. All the best to Nan! |

Wow that is freaking amazing!!! Congrats! Grandpa (mom’s dad) is 98 and will be 99 this year but he’s losing his mind. Doesn’t remember a whole lot. So at 106 and still has good memory is amazing.

Off topic: we stayed at my parents that weekend, my son had a weird weizing sound at 4am when he was 3 years old, like wheezy penguin from "toy story" my mother was up, she said that sounds terrible?!? I don't know, Call an ambulance! My grandmother was staying there too, my dad was taking care of her she looked at my son and said: relax everyone, it's nothing, sounds like CROUP, run the shower on NOW, steam up the bathroom, within a few minutes he was better, next day we visited his pediatrician, doctor said that was great advice. Soon after my josh was fine. we were young parents, my mother was scared making me get more nervous but my grandmother was calm and knew what to do. Croup refers to an infection of the upper airway, which obstructs breathing and causes a characteristic barking cough. |
