Hi Everyone, I ordered the power rear sunshade option, would you still tint the windows?

Not off hand. I will call the higher end car dealers around and ask where they send their customer cars to. I did this with my current car and loved the quality, it's just been close to 6 years ago and I can't remember the place or find the receipt.

I wouldn't tint them period. Even when I bought the expensive tint for my last car, they turned purple in only about two years. I'm leaving it alone. Plus, does anybody know...would tinting the windows void the warranty or violate lease aggrements?

I think its really up to your own opinion, some people like it, some poeple dont. You can see some tinted car pic on my other post. I live in the bay, too. If you are interested, I can give you the shop that I went to, they did a pretty good job on my car.

Window Tint
I've used 3M Color-Stable for several years. No fade, no purple.

The tint will basically render the Rear Sunshade redundant IMHO. I initially wanted the Rear Sunshade as well, but in the end I left it out and opted for a tint. If the money you spent on the Rear Sunshade is not an issue, I would say go for the tint. I think all the tinted E90's I've seen look really nice. If it's not too late to change your options, I would even go as far as saying leave out the Rear Sunshade and tint your car when it arrives.

I got my tint done at ADS Mobile @ San Bruno. This guys runs a famous detail shop here in the bay, a lot of people on E46fanatics and is300.net knew this guy; that's how I found this place. The main service that the shop gives is detailing, you have to see how great this guy's work is! Below is the shop's info. Go there and ask for Phil Wong, tell him Elaine send you there. I voted NO because you already paid for shades, why spend additional $$ for the same thing? I had shades on my E39 and when you pull them all up, your car looks tinted.

Hi,
I voted "YES" cos the temp. in my country is very warm. Average temp. is around 37 degree celsius. But the color of the tint that I think I'll do is crystal clear from V-Kool or slight charcoal if available. The reason is just to prevent the heat from coming in not the light. Woods |

If I do tint the windows, it will be with the lightest tint available. If I do that, I think it would look hot. My exterior color is Artic.
