Dual or Quad-tip exhaust?
I'm trying to decide whether I should go for dual or quad. Does anyone have any experience with trying out a quad-tip exhaust system for an F30?
Knowing if there's any discernible difference in sound will be the biggest factor. I'm looking for a deeper growl, so if significant, then I'll know to find a quad-tip diffuser as well in advanced. |

The tips should not have any impact on sound all else being equal. There's a couple older threads on quad tips exhaust, just search. (Google search might even be easier to find them).
IMO, and this is IMO, the quad exhaust is just a fake M look and its pretty ugly on non-M cars. |

@thejeremyman9 comments are spot on. There are quite a few threads on this topic with practical advice.
My humble opinion: get whatever exhaust best represents you and enjoy the ride. |

absolutely it makes a difference but not untill you get to a tri-tip setup. dual-quad is the best but its so loud you likely wont like it. likely have to modify your diffuser to make it work though.

Had a quad M2 exhaust welded on and love it, I did have to modify the diffuser however but there were guideline on the back of mine to tell me where to cut and a Dremel made short work with that. You may also need to modify the mount that holds the sensor for the auto trunk lid but that's easy as well. With a catless downpipe, it is definitely loud but I don't think obnoxious unless your redlining your shifts.
