Deathly boring but losing my mind with this. Hear me out if you have the patience.

Did some renos and the contractor put three new faucets in, 2 in the kitchen and 1 in the laundry. The 2 in the kitchen are the same product line but one is smaller than the other (Island vs main sink) and the one in the laundry is a totally different brand.

Laundry one barely trickles, like seriously barely trickles. Main sink in kitchen is a solid stream but weak, island one is fine, full power.

We are mid Covid by this point and he wants out and says he tested the hoses and we have enough pressure, it's these new "low flow" faucets.

So i start poking around, I check the pressure right from the hoses that come from the valves, there's a ton there on the two problem faucets. I then undo the weight that pulls the nossle down, wondering if this is pinching the internal hose .... nope. I then disengage the internal hose and there is tons of pressure, i click said hose back into each faucet and .....problems.

So it HAS to be the faucet, either a blockage in the aerator or the cartridge is blocked OR the fucking things really are low flow. But seriously what odds both have blockages (totally different brands) and surely "low flow" cannot be that bad?

Any tips, I am fuckign dying here.

Unscrew the cap where the screen is and you can sometimes pop off the inside restrictor plate. That’s what I did with a new faucet I recently did in one of my baths. Obviously they’re not all the same but start there.

This is correct. New low flow faucets use low flow aerators.
If you take it out, stream will be all messy and you will get wet but you will get the flow you want. Depends on the brand and model, sometimes you can buy a high flow aerators, but typically very hard to find.
Easiest way to do tackle this is
#1 get a new faucet
#2 take apart aerator and remove the ring or similar flow restricting screen OR do some hacking to cutting out restriction screen to maintain the flow and flow style. It's kind of annoying though.

I remove the o-ring and drill extra holes in the flow restrictor. Problem solved.

Any good quality company will have well engineered drop in flow restrictors that can be removed so the faucets can be sold in places that do not have water flow restrictions. The crappy ones don’t.

I would make sure the valves under the sinks are fully open first.

#1 Turn off water supply.

#2 If it's a low-flow faucet, while the water supply is still off; take it out of the sink and return that shit to whatever depths of hell you purchased it from. If I turn on the sink because I want water....I want water dammit.

#3 If it isn't low-flow, sometimes when installing a new faucet, debris from the supply line will clog the faucet. Remove the handle from the bonnet nut. Remove the cartridge and flush with water using a different sink....you know, because the water supply to this sink is turned off. In the future, always rinse out your NEW supply lines when installing a new faucet. If you're keeping up, yes; you should have bought new supply lines along with the new faucet. You don't have to, but it is advised. Mostly for this type scenario.

#4 Most likely if your cartridge was clogged, your aerator screen is probably clogged with debris as well. Rinse this guy out in your favorite sink that isn't the one you are currently working on. See above.

#5 I feel like I shouldn't have to say this, but sometimes I do. Ensure all water supply valves are fully opened.

If none of these work, ask your wife for help. She will either fix the problem for you without knowing what she is doing or she'll call another man (most likely her brother, father, step-father or the man she is either sleeping with or is going to sleep with after he fixes your sink for you) to get the job done.

I've already confirmed the supply lines have a ton of pressure, as do the pull out hoses when i unclip them. I replaced both cartridges and the aerators are cot clogged. No improvement. What a massive pain in the tits.

Once I ILLEGALLY tear the sticker off the faucet, just much easier to punch holes in the restrictor plate
