Entire Sunroof Assembly Replacement!! OR DELETE

So the other day I was driving and tried to open my sunroof, when I was met by the sound of cracking plastic and a sunroof that could not close. I tried to restart sequence but because the actual rail was damaged that did not help. I thought about just replacing the rails but could not find a way to do so, and during the process messed up the headliner of the sunroof cover. So I decided to buy a whole new assembly off a guy who was parting a e92 coupe on eBay in Wisconsin for about $125 which was not bad. Here was the process I went through.

After I heard the cracking from the sunroof and its inability to close I saw that it would not properly seal and tried to find ways to fix it

These were the pieces I pulled off of the old sunroof. The rails actually broke.

Where the sunroof assembly is attached. Just held on by a couple 10mm bolts, as well as some torx bits.

Pulled it down. Wasn't as hard as putting it on because I took off the glass on the old one when I was looking for the problem.

Honestly wasn't too bad of a job, I don't know if there was an easier way to fix this but this was the route I took. when looking up rail prices they were about 140$ each on FCP euro, and the whole assembly I could snag for less than the price of one. Didn't want to have a broken sunroof and potentially have a leak as it has been raining pretty bad here. Also have the old sunroof assembly as well as the headliner in grey if anyone is interested!
If anyone is trying to do a similar job or sunroof delete I would be happy to pass on any information I have gained!
