Locked keys in Trunk
A friend of mine has locked his keys in a e90 with no comfort access. If he is able to break into the car how long does he have before the anti theft system takes over?

Correct me if I'm wrong but if the clown nose on the mirror isn't blinking he doesn't have an anti theft system at all.
If he does, the siren will turn on the moment anything enters the inside of the car (ultrasonic sensor)

Most BMW's don't come with and alarm. If you don't have a spare key you win the Darwin award. If you don't have folding seats it doesn't do you much good to break into the cabin.(Well I guess you could use the electrical technique mentioned in the first post (entry 14) The early models use to have a manual keyhole for the trunk I think that stopped in or after 09. It can be hidden under the ledge above the normal license plate position. Last edited by ctuna; 05-22-2020 at 07:51 PM.. |
