Worth buying

Hi I'm in Canada and I'm looking at a 2007 E92 N54 it has 161k Km and here's a list of what has been done, just curious on if it's worth it.
Valve Cover Gasket
Injectors and seals
Front and back main seals
Oil Pan Gasket
WaterPump and Thermostat
Boost solenoids
LPF Sensors
Crank Position Sensors
Breaks front and back with sensors
Bosch Coil packs
Oil Filter Housing gasket
Also hasn't been winter driven and comes with a list of different mods

If you're not familiar with the model, get a pre purchase inspection. Also, if you haven't, see the buyers guide sticky post on this forum.

Other than the engine seals, everything looks like normal wear and tear. Oil pan gasket is a pretty big ticket item. How is the suspension?

It at least looks like the car was cared for with those items listed.

Thinking it's a bit steep on price but maintenance sounds like it has been kept up on.

He's Canadian, so my guess that price is in CAD. US dollar equivalent would be around $7000.

Personally I wouldn't buy a 2007 335 unless I have an extra 3k reserve for maintenance...
More so , if its going to be my daily

A. Turbo wastegates likley rattle like crazy with those km. Get ready to replace those.

B. It looks like somebody threw a lot of money at this car, trying to track down a problem, and has decided to give up, and make it someone else's problem.

C. At those km, everything on the car starts to go south, suspension, bushings, clutch or auto tranny. 07 has the msd80 DME, get ready to do mosfets
Pulleys are old, motor mounts dying, valve cover cracks, it will be an endless maintenance battle.

I've had 2 07, 335i, they are $5000 cars period. Unless you get one with under 100k km. That 150k-200k km range is the worst.

Avoid, it will be a money pit, unless you only want to put 10k km a year on it. It absolutely will not be a reliable daily driver.

Too much even for CDN funds. 2007 335i sedans are around $7500 asking with that kind of mileage over on the local craigslist. These things aren't moving. If you can talk him down to $5500 to $6000, that's probably ok. Do recognize N54 maintenance/repairs can easily exceed the cost of purchase.

What's your purpose in buying this car? Daily Driver? Or a project that you are going to throw some money at? How are you with DIY? Can you turn a wrench and do you have access to tools and a space to work on the car?

If this will be your only car... Are you paying cash, do you have another 3-5K ready to dump into it at any time?

If you are looking for a reliable DD or this would be your only car, just walk away, I'm totally serious. But if you are looking for a project and have a daily then really try to talk them down... that car, unless it is a unicorn is a 3-5k car all day long. Offer what it is worth and you could have a lot of fun for not much money. But know what you are getting into... if this is your first BMW or tuner car for that matter... there are probably better options.

It would be my first bmw and planning to do all the work on it but yes it would probably be a daily driver but I also don't drive much.

Not driving much and not having a working car are totally different things.

Do you have another car for when this isn't working... its kinda a joke (but it isn't) around here but you need a backup car if you own a N54 powered BMW.

Are you looking to have a big power BMW or do you just want a BMW? If it's your first and you don't need 300+HP, an e90/2 6MT 328i can be had for not much money and is pretty rock-solid reliable, easy to work on, and fun to drive. It would be a way better "BMW learning experience" than an N54 car.

just my .02
