I ordered some oe filters off amazon and hope they are the correct ones? They are advertised to fit 2015 335i? Are these the correct filters? Thanks.

I think that's a generic oil filter part number because many brands come up when you search on it. I use the popular Mann filter kit in the photo. It sells for about $8-$9 on Amazon.

The Mann part number has an X on the end to indicate xDrive. I believe that the RWD filter in addition comes with a new plastic drain plug that gets changed. My xDrive has a metal drain plug so only its washer gets replaced.

The HU 816 x is for all n55 models and I can't see the transmission type having anything to do with the oil filter. It comes with everything pictured and n55s don't use a plastic drain plug, I believe that's the n20

I didn't say anything about transmission type. I said RWD. I thought that one of the RWD guys told me that he had the plastic plug but you are correct that he must have had the 4-cylinder. Mann part# for that in photo

The part number is accurate however that doesn't mean the filter is genuine Mann/BMW.

Amazon has an issue with counterfeit parts as they allegedly get mixed in with OE/Genuine.

It’s stamped with the Mann emblem and made in Germany . You get two oe filters for 14 dollars.

X on the filter does not mean "X-Drive". It comes with a copper washer for metal oil pans with steel drain plugs (for all N55 regardless of drivetrain). There is also a Z version that comes with a replacement plastic drain plug found on N20 engines with plastic oil pans.

Yes, thanks. I had heard the X part number thing from someone a while back and it made sense at the time. Stay safe!
