Recall...

Anyone know what Quality Enhancement Number 0065020200 is all about ?

I've just had a recall letter and am reluctant to let em have it really ;-)

They'll have fun and games when they see your car lol!

I wonder if its a recall specific to the E93?

I don't think it's anything dodgy..

Anyway I'm away all the time at the moment so they'll just have to wait.

Dont be silly, it could be something very important like a seatbelt failure in an accident or roll over hoops not deploying. Make it presentable under the hood and get her in.

Applicable only to butchered 335i E93 MSport, in Sapphire Black, registered in Byfleet, Surrey.

Quality Enhancement as follows -

1) Refit bulkhead
2) Refit engine sound deadening material
3) Refit primary catalytic converters
4) Refit lambda probe sensors to its original location
5) Recall and replace suspension parts, as susceptible to failure after launching car over Richmond Bridge
5) Refit........

Incidentally, I've had all the "Quality Enhancement" processes done on my car already... although I think most were at my suggestion and insistence rather than theirs

James

Have you had the side airbags door sensor re-wired yet?

Mine had to have this done - apparantly they are wired backwards - they do the mod at the centre console end of the wiring.

http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/rec...freeText=Blank

Could be this if you have not had it done yet - affects all early (ish) E93's

Mine was done a while ago whilst in having other work done - I remember you saying at the time you had received no recall?

I think BMW were waiting to see if James would be removing the airbags anyway, so it would save them the hassle of having to rewire...!!
