No dealer-settable options w/o iDrive yet?
My 325 just came into the dealer today. I had called him ahead of time and asked him to make note of some config options I wanted, since I don't have iDrive. (Chirp on lock, speed sensitive vol adjust, etc). EVerything I've read has lead me to believe that this is all doable by the dealer if you don't have iDrive.
Apparently, my dealer said he talked to the tech and they don't have a key config (or whatever words he exactly used) for the 06 yet. Is this possible? Is there any more information I can give him to help him along? He understands what I'm looking for...but how could they not have that? |

With the next big software upgrade all those setting will be settable from within the car by the owner, even without Idrive ( you will use the display in the Instrument cluster ).
The dealers will no longer be able to set those settings with their computer |

Its supposed to be pretty soon ( hopefully next month or so )
BMW USA sent out a communication to dealers saying that the functions will be available to the customers with the next big upgrade |

I can set my speed volume manually from the radio interface. The small button on the radio, right side, looks like a musical note. Set bass, treble, balance, fader, speed increment.
