A few pics
Took these tonight, the first time I've had the chance to since collecting the car on Tuesday, it's not very interesting as it's just a boggo 320d at the moment.
I love it, couldn't be happier, I've been getting great MPG, it's amazingly comfortable (my previous cars have been a Corsa, another Corsa, a Nova, er, another Corsa, a Mini (a proper Mini), a mk1 Golf GTI, a mk4 Golf GTI, a 300bhp Fiesta (which I still have) and an M reg Cavalier, so you can imagine it's a bit of a step up. The only thing I've not got used to yet is the lack of revs, I keep forgetting I need to change gear about half way to what I'm used to Anyway, pics. Nothing special yet, it's as standard as it rolled off the production line, but it's always good to take some 'before' shots. I've already ordered some blackline rear lights, which will arrive (and be fitted) on Saturday, while I'm 'working' We'll also be remapping it with our new software next week, so I can get a before and after power figure, torque figure and MPG figure, all of which should be larger numbers than the before figures, I'll keep all you diesel owners posted on those as it may be of interest with the prices we'll be able to do them for. Then it'll be wheel and suspension time, but I'm still undecided on wheels, I've got 2 different ones in mind, E46 CSLs, or ACS Type 3s as my boss has them on his E46 touring and they look pretty good. I've been told the half leather is rare, they also look like they might be sports seats? (there's a lot of support and the bolsters adjust electrically) but I'm not sure, as the car is an SE, so it seems odd to me. Any suggestions on wheels, or anything really? I think some carbon bits would suit the colour, but I'm not sure what's available due to the fact that I've had the car 2 days and not really looked. |

Looks good Robin, who is it you work for then?
I like the type 162 Ellipsoid alloys but the CSL alloys would look great on sparkling graphite. |

I work for Jamsport in Northampton, a lot of people see us as predominantly a Ford tuner (the name is well known with the RS Turbo boys) but really, we are capable of doing any brand.
We've recently maintained an E36 M3 for a season of racing in the pre 93 touring car championship, the boss has a tuned 330d touring (and an E46 M3 cab) so the BMW love is strong too. We've been doing a lot of diesel chipping recently, for the fuel saving rather than the performance gains in most cases, so we've spent a fair wedge on getting some more kit so that we can do even more (and I'm lucky enough to be one of the cars on the staff fleet to be used to get before and after figures) Obviously I don't want to go into too much detail as I'm unfamiliar with the trading scheme on here and don't want to upset anyone, but like I say, the figures will be posted as it's always good to be able to consider another option if you're looking for some gains I suppose. I'm not here as a salesman, but obviously I'll help whereever I can as I do have tuning knowledge (even if I'm completely useless at knowing where to find cosmetic bits) |

Not a huge amount really, just the remap, some wheels, some decent suspension (probably one of the better of the Bilstein kits), maybe the carbon fibre dash inserts, M sport front bumper? and an M3 saloon boot spoiler. That'll probably be the lot, then I'll run it for a few years and chop it in for something with the right amont of cylinders.

Cool, some nice rims 18's or 19's will completely transform the look of the car I like the sound of your other mods too!

They are sports seats for sure Robin - they also have the mechanical extension to the front of the seat.

I specc'ed half leather sports seats on my E90 SE (M spec wasn't available at the time) - they're very comfortable.

The rear lights are on, looks loads better now, I'll get some pics tomorrow if I remember.
It still hasn't been chipped though, my boss wanted me to have it for a full week before doing it. I'm enjoying wet roundabouts so much, I've decided to sell my Fiesta (which was destined to be my track car) and buy something RWD to replace it with. It's addictive, I can't see myself buying a FWD car again now. |

Oh, made the mistake of picking up a BMW Performance catalogue when I was in the parts dept.
I'm going to be ordering the carbon boot spoiler tomorrow I think. |

If you're who I think you are (Carl?), Jay Carr will be able to point you in the right direction on Corsasport.
You'll be able to see it for yourself if you happen to be at Santa Pod on October the 12th. |
