Replace the front wheel bearing?
Hi,
I'm getting the error Chassis stabilization: Drive moderately on my F30 328i 2013 lately. The car has around 120k kms (75k miles). ISTA report this error: 4809CB Wheel speed sensor: increment wheel front right and tells me to replace the wheel bearing front right. I have replaced the speed sensor for the Parking Assistant (5DP) retrofit. I have over tighten the holding screw when doing so. Could it have affected the wheel bearing? Thanks, Alain Last edited by agilbert314; 08-16-2020 at 05:23 PM.. |

I doubt that the wheel bearing would be affected by over tightening a speed sensor screw...is there any play in the front right wheel? is there a chance that the sensor broke off inside the bearing assembly. they are typically sealed units so even that is a long shot.
curious to know what this is? |

The sensor did not broke off but did rub inside the assembly. The sensor tip is scratched. I'm having it checked tomorrow. Will report. |
