Best Amazon Option for Rotors/Pads for F30 N55
I'm going to try asking this again since I didn't get any responses for a couple weeks on my original post. I typically buy my parts through FCP Euro. However, based on my location the shipping for pads/rotors is astronomical. Almost $250 in just shipping and I don't qualify for free shipping based on my location. I do qualify for free shipping through Amazon Prime but I'm unsure on the correct parts to buy. Below is my VIN as well as the rotor sizes that FCP told me I need but it's extremely difficult to find rotor sizes on Amazon when I search and I don't trust the vehicle fitment search due to the different size rotors for the same model BMW. Does anyone recommend a specific brand if I buy on Amazon?

If shipping price is a concern, what about just getting OEM BMW parts through a local dealer? Unless they substantially mark up prices due to their own shipping costs incurred?

I haven't checked with them on brakes but I had to do that with a cheaper part earlier in the year. It was for the coolant expansion(vent) hose and based on the FCP price the local dealership was marked 100% above their price. Only reason I bought it was timing not shipping costs. I believe I paid around $80 and the FCP price was $38.

I just called BMW Honolulu and here's what they quoted me.
Front Stock Rotors: $302.70 each Front Drilled/Slotted Rotors: $505.56 each Rear Stock Rotors: $198.33 each (no option for Drilled/slotted) Pads: Front: $273.55 Rear: $193.31 Total Parts Cost(Stock Options): $1,468.92 FCP Parts List: Front Dimpled/Slotted Rotors: $99.69 each Rear Stock Rotors: $58.44 each (no option for Drilled/slotted) Pads: Front: $135.47 Rear: $61.24 Total Parts Cost(Stock Options): $512.97 + $240.90(shipping) = $753.87 So it's still about half the price if I go through FCP but there has to be an option through Amazon where I could hopefully get something and avoid the $240 in shipping. |

Try RockAuto. I was very surprised how inexpensive shipping for rotors was from them, and the prices on the parts were as low or lower than I could find anywhere else. BTW, unless you're tracking don't bother with slotted or drilled rotors.

It's more so find the parts you want from a manufacturer, on fcp or the other vendor websites, , then search to see if someone is selling that mfg part number on Amazon.
Or search by unique terms on Amazon. Eg. "Zimmerman 340mm rotor" and then verify from there.

Any chance these could be shipped via USPS Large flat rate box? Their site says delivery to HI at domestic prices. Only limiting factor would be the weight. Maybe FCP Euro could pack in one or two of those for you.
Another option if the flat rate box would work and FCP couldn't ship would be to ship to a forum member and have them ship the items to you. |

Have you tried rockauto? They have Brembo rotors at very reasonable prices, as well as others. The pads are cheap too. I don't know about shipping, but with low prices it might work out if shipping is a little more.

He's already in for less than half what his local bmw dealer quoted. It's just kind of abhorrent to have shipping be 30% of the total with other sites. Covid is definitely not in his favor with shipping quotes right now either.

These are what I have:
Front: Brembo 09.C398.13 Front Disc Brake Rotor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075Y3Z562..._18gtFb1FGNHQV Rear: Power Stop EBR1414XPR Rear Evolution Drilled and Slotted Rotor Pair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0741PTP5H..._j-gtFb6T79WQ2 Fronts are dimpled/slotted, but Brembo doesn't make comparable rotors in the 330x20 spec, hence going with drilled/slotted PowerStop in the rear. Just be forewarned, the dimpled rotors are known to make noise, and I can confirm that they do on my car.
