Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement: Chassis Stabilization

Hi All,

So my car is a 2013 328i x drive. Some of you may recall I was having issue with front struts which I finally got sorted. Unfortunately, in the process, the wheel speed sensor cable was damaged.

No biggie, I bought this one at Amazon and put it in.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Once installed, the chassis stabilization warning went away as the car was idling in my driveway. As soon as I back out and start to pull ahead, the warning comes back on, the gas pedal goes dead, the car starts jerking forward, and then it starts behaving normally, but the warning is still there.

So my question is, do I have to do something after installing like calibrate or tell the computer it got a new sensor? Do these have to be installed in pairs? Did I just get a bad one? Should I only buy a genuine BMW sensor?

Thanks,
Robert

The only way to diagnose a sensor is with an OBD diagnosis tool, like the Foxwell NT 510.
