Arrow Car randomly dies with zero power. Slam trunk and car works again. WTF? 387C/P160A

387C = Total Battery Discharge
  • New IBS
  • New battery
  • Battery is not dead at all but the computer thinks it is
  • No issues while driving
  • Car wakes up and starts/drives normally after slamming the trunk
  • Occurs randomly, usually totally "dies" when turning car off (everything quickly turns off, no cabin light on exit) and won't start on next attempt unless trunk is opened and slammed shut

Try tightening the battery cables and really making sure they're on the posts. My ground was a little loose before and did the same thing.

Check the cables that run from the battery to the body. I believe your ground cable body connection is near the trunk latch - most likely issues.

Could a faulty FRM cause this? Passenger mirror and passenger comfort access is not functioning. I have a fault code for FRM (passenger mirror).

Were you able to figure this out? Having the same issue

Battery cables were slightly loose. Make sure everything is really tight.
